About

Why this exists

During the 2021–23 shortage, nearly every distributor published a lead-time guide. Most quietly stopped. What's left is scattered: a PDF here, a web table there, a gated quarterly report, an association survey — each with its own categories, arrows, and blind spots. Anyone planning a design, a sourcing strategy, or a customer commitment has to reassemble the picture by hand, every month.

LeadTimePulse does that assembly once, in public: one page that says where lead times stand, which way they're moving, how much the sources agree — and why. Category-level, month over month, with the history kept so "is this normal?" has an answer.

Who makes it

LeadTimePulse is curated by Sannah Vinding — an engineer turned product marketing and go-to-market leader in the electronics components industry, who has been publishing this synthesis monthly since 2025. Scripts and an LLM assist with collection and drafting; Sannah reviews every number and writes every judgment. The site is independent: not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any distributor or manufacturer.

What it is not

Not a parts search engine, not a price index, not procurement advice. It's a monthly market read — the thing you'd want on one page before a planning meeting, a supplier negotiation, or a design review. For the full method, sources, and formulas, see themethodology.
